Some days are much harder than others... and we all go through this. But His Love wraps us and carries us through. My reading today was Mark 3 and 4. The end of Mark chapter 4 has the story of Jesus calming the sea. I was thinking, the disciples had just been with Jesus and seen what a powerful Man He was and still when they had Him right in their midst they forgot who He was and what He could do. The bible promises us in so many places that He is with us and will NEVER leave us or forsake us. And yet we forget when we go through a difficult time.

This week's Recipe
Thomas's Fudgy Brownies
Ingredients
- 1 stick unsalted butter, cut into large pieces
- 6 ounces bittersweet chocolate, chopped
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1/4 cup unsweetened Dutch-process cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon coarse salt
- 1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour,
Directions
-
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line an 8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper, leaving a slight overhang on all sides. Melt butter and chocolate in a double boiler or a heatproof bowl set over a pot of simmering water, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat, and whisk in sugar. Whisk in eggs, one at a time, until combined. Whisk in cocoa and salt. Fold in flour until combined.
-
Pour batter into pan. Bake until set and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs, 35 to 40 minutes. Let cool slightly in pan, about 15 minutes. Lift brownies from pan using parchment. Remove parchment and transfer to a wire rack. Let cool completely. Cut into 9 squares.I'm going to try this with the cocoa powder that I have at home and see what happens. Will post a picture if I do :)
This week's Verse
James 1:17
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.

This week's Song
Dare to be a Daniel
This week's song is inspired by a good friend's son who in the act of being a pastor said this to his parents...
"Aliya do you take Robert as your lawfully wedded husband? Robert do you take Aliya as your lawfully wedded wife?"
... "Now let us sing the hymn Dare to be a Daniel."

Standing by a purpose true,
Heeding God’s command,
Honor them, the faithful few!
All hail to Daniel’s band!
Heeding God’s command,
Honor them, the faithful few!
All hail to Daniel’s band!
Refrain:
Dare to be a Daniel,
Dare to stand alone!
Dare to have a purpose firm!
Dare to make it known.
Dare to be a Daniel,
Dare to stand alone!
Dare to have a purpose firm!
Dare to make it known.
Many mighty men are lost
Daring not to stand,
Who for God had been a host
By joining Daniel’s band.
Daring not to stand,
Who for God had been a host
By joining Daniel’s band.
Many giants, great and tall,
Stalking through the land,
Headlong to the earth would fall,
If met by Daniel’s band.
Stalking through the land,
Headlong to the earth would fall,
If met by Daniel’s band.
Hold the Gospel banner high!
On to vict’ry grand!
Satan and his hosts defy,
And shout for Daniel’s band.
On to vict’ry grand!
Satan and his hosts defy,
And shout for Daniel’s band.
